Terms and Conditions
1.
Available Products. ProQuest will make the following products available through library school computer labs at no charge: Proprietary databases on CSA Illumina, RefWorks, Ulrichsweb.com, ABI/INFORM, Research Library, National Newspapers, ProQuest Historical Newspapers, Literature Online, eLibrary, SIRS, Black Studies Center. Publishing partner databases distributed through CSA Illumina are not included in this offer. For schools already subscribing to CSA Illumina, ProQuest will make additional databases available upon request.
2.
Institution Qualifications. The school must be an ALA accredited library school. For library schools outside of the USA, a library school degree must be granted.
3.
Access Authentication. Access will be limited to Class C or D IP addresses local to the lab. Other arrangements are available. Please contact us directly for more information. For RefWorks, in addition to the IP restrictions as stated above, access also includes a User-Id and Password per account.
4.
Term. Access to the products will be granted for August 1, 2007 – July 31, 2008. For institutions not subscribing to RefWorks, all accounts created during the term of the class will be removed at the end of each semester.
5.
Purpose - Instructional Use. Your Institution acknowledges that ProQuest's products are being provided specifically to be incorporated as a component of your library or information science classroom instruction on the use of research and finding tools. Each faculty member or instructor using the product must acknowledge the terms and conditions of this arrangement by signing this form and returning it to ProQuest. In order to ensure the efficacy of this program, each faculty member or instructor signing also agrees to respond to ProQuest's reasonable inquiries regarding the use of the products within his or her classroom instruction. Except as specifically provided herein, all use of the databases and tools comprising the products is subject to the terms and conditions of ProQuest’s standard Electronic Products License Agreement. In the case of RefWorks, all use of the product is subject to their terms and conditions.
6.
Reservation of Rights. ProQuest retains the right to terminate access at any time.
   
Faculty/Instructor Acknowledgement
  I acknowledge on behalf of my institution and its students that I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the ProQuest Library School Program. The databases and research tools are being provided for the sole purpose of supporting library and information science graduate education and are to be used only by library and information science faculty or students enrolled in the library or information science programs. The databases and reference tools are to be used solely in support of classroom assignments focusing on the use of research and finding tools. Access to the databases and tools may not be disseminated by me or my organization beyond the aforementioned sub-set of Authorized Users. Except as specifically provided otherwise in this paragraph, all use of the databases and tools is subject to the terms and conditions of ProQuest’s standard Electronic Products License Agreement. In the case of RefWorks, all use of the product is subject to their terms and conditions .
